Advancement Fee: All gifts are subject to a 5% fee when the gift
is received. This fee has two purposes. First, to support strategic
initiatives that promote and grow the University. Second, to fund the
operations of the Boise State University Foundation, including the
management of gifts. One hundred percent of private contributions to
the Boise State University Foundation support Boise State, with
95% of those dollars going directly to the funds that donors support.
Annual Giving: Annual, current-use support for Boise State below the
major gift commitment level.
Anonymous Gift: The Boise State University Foundation observes
donors’ wishes for anonymity. To that end, the Foundation offers two
levels of anonymity, public and institutional, dependent on the desires
of the donor balanced with the obligations of the Foundation to
comply with its Gift Acceptance Policy.
•
Public Anonymity: The donor’s name will not appear
in publications, honor rolls, plaques or other public
announcements, except as “anonymous.” The gift will be
recorded as anonymous on the donor’s record (but will be
accessible to Foundation staff via that record).
•
Institutional Anonymity: In rare cases, the donor may request
institutional anonymity. In these cases, in order to accept the
gift, only the CEO, Associate Vice President for Advancement
Services and CFO will be informed of the donor’s identity.
The name of the donor will not be revealed to the Foundation
staff or board. Requests for institutional anonymity must be
approved by the CEO of the Foundation, who in turn will seek
confirmation with the Executive Chair of the Foundation Board
of Directors. The gift will be recorded on a constituent record
that masks the identity of the donor.
Bequest: Gifts that are made as part of a will or trust.
