Volunteer Leaders — Why We Need You
WHAT’S MY ROLE AS A VOLUNTEER?
As a volunteer, you are an important representative of Boise State, and
your involvement is critical to the success of our campaign. You help
the university identify, understand, and cultivate potential donors. This
means you will be involved in fundraising as an ambassador, advocate
and/or asker. You are part of a larger network of Boise State volunteers
helping to facilitate relationships, open doors with prospective donors
and represent Boise State University. As you begin your work as a
volunteer, you are not alone. Development staff will work closely with
you and will support and guide your activities.
BE AN AMBASSADOR
•
Participate in peer screenings of alumni, parents, and friends of
Boise State
•
Host and promote special events to showcase Boise State areas
of excellence and network with prospective donors
•
Act as an official ambassador for Boise State when attending
regional or campus events
•
Serve as a liaison to introduce prospective donors to university
leadership
•
Cultivate, encourage, and/or solicit support for college, school,
and unit priorities
•
Assist in the stewardship of current donors to Boise State
