Boise State University’s trajectory is unrivaled. I believe our impact is
unlimited.
Since its founding 90 years ago, Boise State has been keenly
focused on the needs of our community. Our unique mindset around
innovation, our can-do, will-win attitude when we are challenged, and
our strong relationships with each of you, our incredible donors, has
led to great success.
We are striving to be a premier student-success driven research
university that continually innovates for statewide and global impact.
We direct our pathway with five well-defined strategic goals. We
are committed, above all else, to student success, and to improving
access to education for Idahoans. We are advancing our research
and creative activities — and at a record-setting pace — to serve
our communities and our world. We are caring for our community
and seeking new ways to help it thrive. We are forging unique

partnerships and developing programs with intent and purpose.
These goals have helped us hone our mission, and the results are
extraordinary. We have had double digit increases in the number of
Idaho students who are going on to college this year. We are growing
scholarship funds and developing other innovative avenues of
support for all of our students, and we are awarding record numbers
of degrees.
Each time we make news for rolling out a new program or celebrate
the success of one of our brilliant students, I hope you will remember
the incredibly important role that you played in making it happen.
Your support has brought us to the exceptional place from which we
launch today, and it will be essential as we drive the university onward
and upward to the next lights in the firmament. On behalf of the
