These symbols identify packaging that is independently
certified as either home or industrially compostable.
Industrially compostable certified products will
disintegrate within 84 days and biodegrade within 180
days in industrial composting conditions. Certified home
compostable products will biodegrade within 365 days
in home composting conditions. We list the certification
standards and our unique certificate number.
This packaging can be recycled
through kerbside recycling
collection – just make sure
it's rinsed clean and free from
grease and oil.

Responsibly Sourced
Paper and Wood
We only use raw materials
from responsibly managed
plantations, including FSC™
certified plantations, to ensure
our forests are protected
forever.
Bioplastic/
Polylactic Acid (PLA)
Our plant-based bioplastic
packaging is either home or
industrially compostable and
has a lower carbon footprint
than conventional plastic
packaging. It is not recyclable
with conventional noncompostable plastics.
Plant Fibre
Our plastic-free plant fibre
packaging is made from
reclaimed and rapidly
renewable sugarcane pulp –
a by-product remaining after
the juice has been extracted
from the sugarcane refining
industry (that would otherwise
be burned). Plant fibre
packaging can be recycled in
the cardboard stream if not
contaminated with food.
Conventional
Plastic
We're in the process
of phasing out all noncompostable plastic items.
This type of plastic is wellmarked so you can identify
whether they're kerbside
recyclable – they are not
compostable.

sugarcane fibre solutions.
Our hot food friendly packaging
is grease-proof and sturdy, and
will retain its structural integrity
whilst holding hot food. Our
clear bioplastic cups and bowls
are cold use only.
We have noted which
packaging is microwave
and/or oven safe. Our
sugarcane takeaway range can
go in the oven at temperatures
of up to 220°C for a maximum
duration of 20 minutes.
This symbol means the
packaging is freezer friendly,
however the structural integrity
will vary depending on the food
contained when frozen and
thawed. We can supply samples
for you to conduct testing.
