Slow Cooker Turkey Breast
Ingredients:
1 (5-7 lb) bone-in or boneless turkey breast
2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp dried thyme or rosemary
1 cup chicken or turkey broth
Dry the turkey breast with paper towels. Using olive oil or melted
butter, rub the turkey all over, including under the skin.
To season the turkey, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder,
onion powder, paprika, and dried thyme or rosemary in a small
bowl. Spread the seasoning mixture evenly over the turkey breast.
Place the chicken or turkey broth in the slow cooker. Breast-side
up, place the turkey breast inside.
Cook the turkey on LOW for 5-6 hours, or until the internal
temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). The cooking time may vary
based on the size of the turkey breast and the slow cooker.
To achieve crispy and golden skin, broil the turkey breast for 3-5
minutes on a baking sheet until the skin is browned and crisp.
Serve:
It is recommended that you rest the turkey for 10-15 minutes
before slicing it. You can serve this dish with any of your favorite
sides.
