vii. Are your head, heart and pelvis all stacked up on top of each other, in alignment?
viii. Now, bring your attention to just below and behind your navel. To help, sometimes I put my hand
there and notice how this feels.
ix. Continue paying attention to your breath and notice what you feel now. Are you feeling more
grounded, more present to sensations, to your body? What is your mind doing? Can you quieten it
by staying in your body?
Believe it or not, It is possible to do all of this and still think at the same time! It is not a technique for
zoning out. It is a practice for accessing a sense of well-being, for feeling calmer, relaxed and yet, still
alert.
So, now you know how to settle yourself, we will turn to beginning to work with the critic – rather than
against it!
