There are others who are stopped dead in their tracks, hurled into inaction. Some become caught up
in over-analysis, procrastination, avoidance. Fear of failure and humiliation is also at the root, and
underneath, associated shame. Such a response would be typical of a freeze or fold reaction.
However you react, the Inner Critic voice sounds like it is attacking you.
And yet, consider this. That voice might be afraid for you – there is some part that is scared of really
messing up, so the critic shows up with some form of admonishment to either stop you repeating what
it perceives as some form of risk or mistake, or indeed, from making it in the rst place.
