NUMBER 03
Finding Emotional Connections
As supply chains are disrupted and product assortment is limited, operators need to
reassess menus resulting in a reevaluation of offerings. This allows businesses to focus
their kitchens on being more efficient and optimized, minimizing waste and maximizing labor
in the process.
With the requirement for trimmed down menus, the shift of focus on main dishes, and with
comfort food cravings at an all-time high, a limited menu means fan favorites must be at
the forefront during this period. This also means also means operators must consider
their ingredients and timeline as they shift menus.
However slight this gesture may be, playing to an operator’s strength is impactful in the
short (and long term) to make an emotional connection.
