Community Servings
Based in Roxbury, MA, Community Servings was founded in 1990
by a coalition of AIDS activists, faith groups, and community
organizations to provide home-delivered meals to individuals living
with HIV/AIDS. In 2021 Community Servings served its 10 millionth
meal, and has expanded its client base, meal delivery, and nutrition
services. The organization’s motto – “Food Heals” – encapsulates
the continuing mission in a nutshell, which is to provide culturally
appropriate, nutritionally balanced, made-from-scratch meals to
individuals and families living with critical and chronic illnesses.

With construction almost complete on Community Servings’
new remote distribution facility in Mans昀椀eld, we at Bergmeyer
are grateful to have helped the organization take its operational
capacity to the next level.
