Marla H. Corts Mission School operates on 19 acres of property, but
owns nearly 2000 acres. The school building has six (6) classrooms and
two (2) offices. The Principal’s House is a two (2) bedroom, one (1)
bathroom house that sits next to the school building. The Teacher’s
Quarters is a duplex home. Each side has two (2) bedrooms and one (1)
bathroom and sits next to the Principal’s House.
The Girl’s Dormitory is a large house that has a large living room in the
center of the home, where all of its occupants can come together, and
two (2) bedrooms, and one (1) bathroom on each side of the home. It
sits next to the Teacher’s Quarters. The Boy’s Dormitory is a four (4)
bedroom home with a living room. Its sits next to the Girl's Dormitory.
The Village Shop is a convenience store where basic supplies are sold
such as milk, sugar, soap, children’s clothes. It is very similar to a book
store on an American college campus, however, all books on MHCMS
campus are free and accessed through the campus library. The library is
located across from the School Building. All of the campus’s facilities
are powered by solar light. This provides visibility at night, enabling
students to study and teachers to prepare. A hand pump sits on the interior of the campus’s buildings as does the
library.
Marla H. Corts Mission School also has a total of four satellite campuses. They are located in the following villages:

Gbornewein - has 2 teachers, added in 2017
•
Tiah Town – children meet in school building, have 4 teachers, added in 2020
•
Geeyah – children meet in school building (mudhouse), has 3 teachers, added 2021
•
Glahn Town – children meet in church, have 6 teachers, added 2021
Enrollment
The number of students enrolled in MHCMS has fluctuated through the years, however the school is steadily
expanding the services and grade level education it provides to its students. Starting out with 140 students on its first
day, MHCMS now boasts of an enrollment of 429 students as of 2022. 135 students reside on MHCMS’s main campus
and a total of 294 attend one of the 4 satellite campuses in nearby villages.
