here like they are my family,” she says.
“Because we’re a newer community, we
have a younger demographic with residents ranging from 68 to 102 years old.
Even our team members feel like part
of the family. It is very near and dear to
my heart.”

Lutheran Social Ministries of Maryland
(LSMMD), one of the area’s most
respected senior living organizations,

“You’ll find people of all faiths here,”
says Snyder. “What they share is a spirituality – a caring for and about others.”
Experiencing some of LVMG’s activities and events starts long before moving in. The warm feeling of being welcomed is wonderful to experience and
starts with the Premier Waitlist Club.
“Those who have toured and want
to be notified of residence availability,”
Snyder explains, “are invited to participate in classes, use the fitness center
and join activities. For instance, we had
a health talk on fall prevention, balance
and exercises to which Premier Waitlist
Club members were invited. Along with
the Welcome Committee, we schedule
an event for them once a month. By
the time they move in, they know the
property and a great many of their future
neighbors.”
The LVMG community is expanding.
The project includes a new restaurant
with outdoor seating, fire pits and an
outside kitchen for special events. It is
also adding 43 independent living apartments and a performing arts center/chapel as well as expanding its assisted living and skilled nursing areas to include a
new memory care neighborhood.
