2025 Choreo-Lab
The goal of the AXIS Choreo-Lab Fellowship is to
develop, refine and advance the artistic skills of disabled,
d/Deaf, and/or neurodiverse choreographers. The Lab offers
an inclusive environment where established, disabled and/
or neurodiverse artists mentor their peers to challenge
boundaries and create perception changing art. During the
Lab participants will be led through a creation process
stemming from their own concept, collaborating with an
integrated group of performers including AXIS dancers
and professional dancers from the local community.
The Lab provides studio space, dancers, and
administrative support for every choreographer.
This opportunity also includes ongoing
mentorship and professional development
support in the year following the Lab.

2025 Summer Intensive & Teacher Training
AXIS’ Intensive is an unparalleled experience for disabled
and non-disabled dancers to develop technique while
collaborating with the AXIS Artists and participants from
around the world. The Teacher Training gives educators tools
to create an inclusive environment.

Access Guide to Presenting & Touring the Performing
Arts
Aimed at venues and presenters keen on advancing their
understanding of accessibility, this online resource addresses
the critical and overdue need for accessible dance and
performing arts spaces. The Access Guide was created
in partnership with leaders across the disability spectrum
and performing arts landscape, ensuring wide-ranging and
nuanced perspectives on the ways in which access benefits
everyone. This Guide is a living and breathing resource
that will consistently be updated, continuing to take into
consideration feedback from the greater disability arts field.
