Alisa Rasera
Audio Describer & Voice, Piel de
Luna
Alisa Rasera’s dance career began
in the San Francisco Bay Area in
1996. Her many rich experiences
include being a dance artist
&
educator,
choreographer,
filmmaker, audio describer and
professional learning leader.
For 8 years she was a company
dancer and Education Director
for AXIS Dance Company. Alisa
was on the teaching faculty at
Luna Dance Institute leading
inquiry-based learning on making
dance education more accessible
and inclusive. She continues to
joyfully work with students from
TK through college & beyond. She
produces her own repertory of
choreography including her 2022
dance film “Doors.” She enjoys
working with Gravity Access to
audio describe live performances.
Alisa believes dance belongs to
everyone and tries to convey that
through her work. It has been a
pleasure to be a part of Nadia’s
new work, Piel De Luna.
Mark Swetz
Dramaturgy, Piel de Luna and
Blueprints of being
Mark Swetz (he/him) studied
dance at the Ohio State
University and has worked at the
Berkeley Rep, ACT, and Shotgun
Players in the Bay Area, the
Círculo Bellas Artes and Centro
Nuevos Creadores in Spain, and
the Oval House, Pleasance, and
White Bear in the UK, among
others. Mark first started working
with Nadia over twenty years ago
when she was dancing with AXIS
and has known Jorge Crecis
since he and Nadia danced
together at CandoCo in the UK.
He is grateful to work with Nadia
and Jorge this season and to
have had the opportunity to
collaborate with the incredible
dancers in this company.
