Walter Holden
Production Manager and
Lighting Designer, Ecos
Walter Holden started working for
AXIS Dance Company in 2000.
After a few years working on other
projects, he was thrilled to return
in 2018. Walter graduated from
CalArts with a MFA in Theatre
(emphasis in lighting design) in
19949. His love of theater was
born at Southeastern Oklahoma
State University while earning
his BA in theater. His passion for
dance was discovered at CalArts.
He has worked in all areas of
lighting design including touring
with Earth, Wind and Fire, Pantera,
Kenny G, John Tesh and others,
as well as designing theater at
Hope Summer Repertory Theatre,
and countless corporate events.
These days he focuses on lighting
dance and theater locally and
has been fortunate enough to
work with choreographers Christy
Funsch, Randee Paufve, Nina Haft,
Catherine Davalos, Dana Lawton,
and Kate Mitchell. Walter also
toured as Production Manager and
Lighting Director for Capacitor and
AXIS Dance Company. Walter runs
his own company, Lumenography,
and teaches Lighting for Dance
at St. Mary’s College. Walter
is blessed with the support of
his wife, Alisa Rasera, and their
amazing daughters, Iris and Viola.
Kev Choice
Composer & Voice, Piel de
Luna
Kev is a pianist, M.C., producer,
composer, educator, band-leader,
and community advocate, hailing
from Oakland, CA. He graduated
from Oakland’s Skyline High School
and received a Bachelor’s Degree
from Xavier University of Louisiana
in New Orleans, and a Master’s
Degree from Southern Illinois
University at Carbondale, both in
Piano Performance. His music is a
blend of styles from Hip-Hop, Jazz,
Classical, Neo-Soul, and R&B.
Kev has toured with artists such
as Ms. Lauryn Hill, Michael Franti,
Goapele, Too Short, Ledisi, Martin
Luther McCoy, The Coup, Zion I,
DJ Quik, and Dwele. In 2010, he
began to focus on his own music
and band, Kev Choice Ensemble,
and has produced 5 solo albums
including Oakland Riviera (2014)
and Social Distancing (2020). He
was commissioned by the Oakland
Symphony,
Soul
Restoration
Suite in 2018, and in 2020 wrote
“Movements” for the San Francisco
Symphony. Most recently, he
released a new EP, “All My Love”
(2024).
