BONIFACE INCREASED PAYLOAD FOR ELITE RECOVERY
After years of reliability and
excellent customer service Mark
McLuckie of Elite Recovery,
Falkirk has again come back to
Boniface for his latest purchase,
a 6T VLA mounted onto a 14T
Volvo Chassis.
Elite Recovery provide 24/7
Roadside Recovery and with the
support of their fully kitted out
workshop, provide the ability to
recover and repair anything that
can’t be fixed on the roadside.
With the new VLA’s increased bed
capacity from 5T to 6T and the
additional carrying capacity of a
14t chassis over a 12T chassis,
the payload of this build was
5540kg providing a future proof
investment that will easily cope
with the ever increasing weight of
cars and vans.
The renowned strength, durability
and light weight of the aluminum
bed provides years of hassle-free
operation without the worry of rust
and corrosion whilst providing a
great payload.
The full width of the 2.49M bed can
be fully utilized with lashing rings
being mounted on the side raves
which helps to ease the loading
of those larger, wider vehicles.
The VLA comes as standard with
an 8000lb hydraulic winch with a
manual sliding function allowing
the operator to lock the winch into
the required position and maintain
a straight line pull.
The new winch low pull option
means vehicles can also be
winched onto the 2t second car
lift via a pulley system enabling
the winch rope to be routed down
through the bed onto the second
car lift, even when a car is already
loaded onto the bed.
As standard the VLA product
features a fully galvanized
subframe and tilt frame, 2 function
radio remote control allowing the
bed to be deployed with the push
of a single button. The winch can
also be operated by the same
remote by using a simple change
over switch.
Mark chose the following options
on this build, chassis mounted
heavy duty wheel skates, two
1.6m slimline LED beacons with
rear repeater lights, LED strobes,
2 pairs of LED work lights, chassis
mounted wrecker kit and wheel
skate bed ramps.
The bed ramps assist with the
loading of vehicles when using
the wheel skates and provide
assistance
when
loading
exceptionally low vehicles or
those with accident damage.
