Recovery Personnel is a 13-hour
guided learning course made up
of both theoretical and practical
training and assessments.
This course allows all delegates
the skills and knowledge to
assess the roadside situation and
remove the service/maintenance/
emergency plug to isolate the
power supply before working on a
casualty vehicle.
This training meets National
Occupational Standards including
the updated 2021 version due to
be released in the coming weeks.
It also meets the HSE’s guide
for Level 2 - Incident response
including emergency services &
vehicle recovery.
Additionally, the course is part of
the government-endorsed Tech
SAFE Scheme and all roadside
and recovery technicians who
pass the courses are added to IMI
