Waves of Wellness Art Exhibition
Both Mr Stanley Chan, Principal of Eden School, and Mr Bucktha
Seelan, Principal of Princess Elizabeth Primary School addressed
the attendees, sharing on how art can be a tool to promote mental
wellness, the importance of inclusive collaboration and the positive
impact on the students from both schools.
Four of our students, Adam Chua Ming Feng, Ang Wei Ming Alvin,
Kayden Yeow Jie Ming, and Naufal Haqq Bin Selamat, attended the
launch with their parents and gave presentations of their artworks
on display. It was a fun experience for them and a proud moment
for their parents.
The students created
artworks about their
interests that excited
them or feelings that
they
experienced
in their daily life.
There were also selfportraits, artworks
about their families
and friends as well
as the environment
around them. A few
classes did group
artwork within their
class—a practice that
builds up students’
collaborative skills.

For the second year running, our Eden School art department
collaborated with Princess Elizabeth Primary School to curate a
vibrant art exhibition, titled ‘Waves of Wellness’. The exhibition
aimed to showcase multifaceted views of how we take care of our
mental health.
After the first iteration of ‘Waves of Wellness’ in 2023 which
focused on the physical aspects of mental wellness, this year’s
iteration centered on the intangible ways we take care of ourselves
through the themes of emotions, relationships and the environment.
In total, 60 artworks from both schools were displayed, with 30
being a diverse range of 2D and 3D artworks by our Eden School
junior students.
