River Safari Excursion With A Splash
On 24 November, volunteers from Lumen Technologies Singapore
joined the Eden Centre for Adults (Hougang) for a planned trip to
River Safari. The day began as early as 9.30am, as volunteers were
introduced to the adult space before heading to the homerooms
to meet their respective buddies. The volunteers and clients were
filled with excitement as they anticipated their first boat cruise
experience at the river-themed park.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Lumen Technologies for
consistently supporting our clients and providing them with
opportunities to engage with the community.
For lunch, volunteers and clients got to enjoy their favourite meals
from KFC, before they embarked on the River Safari tour. The
highlight of the day was undoubtedly the boat ride, which started
with a thrilling drop from a height and splashes of water, followed
by a serene journey along the “Amazon River,” offering close-up
views of animals on both sides. The visit to the Panda enclosure
was equally memorable, with countless photos captured as the
pandas enjoyed their bamboo shoots.
The trip was filled with joy and unforgettable moments, with the
boat ride being a standout experience for everyone involved.
