Almost all of Stölzle’s products are manufacturedin their own factory in Weisswasser and thereby MADE IN GERMANY. Most of the rawmaterials required to produce the glassware comes from this region. In this way, Stölzlecan keep transport distances short. In addition, Stölzle works with regional suppliers whenpurchasing machines, other materials and packaging.Stölzle Lausitz glasses are 100% lead-free and do not contain any other harmful substances.This means Stölzle’s glasses are easily recyclable. Any glass that does not meet Stölzle’sstrict quality standards goes back into the production cycle.As an active participant in the EU Emission Trading Scheme, Stölzle is diligent in findingstate-of-the art technologies to reduce the greenhouse gases coming from the glass factoriesand improve energy efficiency via new management systems recently introduced. Since2020, Stölzle has significantly reduced the gas consumption and CO2 emissions all the whileincreasing efficiency in the production of glassware.THINK GREENThe water-cooling system in production is fed by rainwater collected in a cistern. This meansStölzle could dispense with the use of drinking water. Using the waste heat generated duringproduction allows Stölzle to heat all the buildings and the water for the social wing, therebyeliminating other energy sources.39
