A small business for big
home projects
Autumn Revel is owner of Best Price Flooring located on
the southside of Indianapolis with her husband, Chris.
With his technical experience in installation, and Autumn’s
background in business and marketing, they created the
leadership team that got BPF off the ground and into the
昀氀ooring industry.
“Before, BPF, I did the marketing for Crane Credit Union for
eleven branches,” said Autumn. “This experience combined
with my education has prepared me for my current role and
works well with Chris’s technical experience in 昀氀ooring.”
Identifying with the surrounding community is what inspired
Best Price Flooring to support local initiatives and charities.
“In 1996, Chris started in an internship at Indiana Carpet
Service as an installer,” said Autumn Revel. “He learned just
about everything from his mentors who had been working in
昀氀ooring for years. He was able to take what he learned to go
independent and start his own business.”
BPF is an active member of the business community
in southern Indianapolis and Johnson County. Their
participation in Aspire has helped them reach out to a larger
network of customers and businesses.
The Revels prioritized 昀椀lling the need for affordable quality
昀氀ooring services on the southside when they started their
business.
“The Chamber (Aspire) has been a tremendous
outlet for our business. Word-of-mouth is
essentially our only form of advertising.”
“In March of 2008, we opened Best Price Flooring in southern
Indy because it was where he lived and felt it was his
community,” said Autumn.
Autumn also believes the appeal of BPF comes from the
high-quality talent they have taken on over the years.
That same year Autumn received her degree in Business
Management from Indiana Wesleyan and was able to bring
her prior professional experience in marketing to her and her
husband’s business.
Her networking, branding and management skills
complimented Chris’s expertise in Best Price Floorings’
products and services from old 昀氀ooring removal to new
昀氀ooring installation.

“Some strategies we have for fostering strong relationships
with customers include our great prices on our products and
services,” said Autumn. “We also have a great sales team in
our showroom as well as a great install team.”
The Revels plan to pass their business on to a family member
when they are ready to retire.
“Looking ahead,” added Autumn. “A goal we also have is to
continue to provide a great service to everyone who chooses
to use Best Price Flooring for their home projects.”
