Bringing the latest treatments
in eyecare to the southside
VisionQuest Eyecare, a highly rated optometric practice in
Greenwood, has been providing individualized eye care
services to the community for over 25 years.
“Four partners started a private optometric practice based on
the concept of providing a more individualized experience
based on the needs of the patient,” said Dr. Christopher
Browning, optometrist and owner of VisionQuest Eyecare in
Greenwood and Fishers. “The providers had previously all
worked in an HMO called MetroHealth, but felt like there was
a better way to deliver care.”
Dr. Browning has eight years of undergraduate studies and
optometry school at Indiana University (IU) Bloomington
under his belt. He noted that the IU School of Optometry
is one of the country’s top training institutes in eye care,
providing world-class clinical education to all doctors in the
Greenwood practice.
Dr. Browning did not hesitate to point out the fact that
Johnson County offers abundant opportunities for
businesses and entrepreneurs. He also credited the
economic opportunities created by local and state of昀椀cials
for the county’s continued growth.
“This pro-business environment has contributed
to the growth of new and expansion of longstanding businesses. We’re thankful for great
leadership,” he added.

He also mentioned that VisionQuest Eyecare offers services
not usually available elsewhere, such as Vision Therapy,
Myopia Management, dry eye therapies, and specialty
contact lenses.
“The vast majority of our patients have been referred to us
by their friends and family who we already care for,” said Dr.
Browning.
Looking to the future, Dr. Browning shared the practice’s
excitement about their upcoming move to a newly
constructed of昀椀ce at 2887 S. State Rd 135 in September.
“We have been very blessed over the last 25 years to have
grown from a small of昀椀ce with two exam rooms and 3 staff to
what will be the largest eye clinic on the south side with 18
exam and treatment rooms,” he said.
The new of昀椀ce will have dedicated spaces for specialty care,
a larger optical area with an expanded collection of eyeglass
frames, and a bright, open, and convenient environment.
Dr. Browning also announced an expansion to his team of
dedicated eyecare professionals.
“We have a new doctor, Deann Rankin, OD joining our group
this fall who has been a patient of ours since she was a child,”
he said. “Introducing her to our patient base will be a major
duty of ours in the next year.”
