Local family entertainment center, Rascal’s Fun Zone in
Whiteland, has been capturing the hearts of residents and
businesses alike for years, and experiencing a new wave
of patrons since its acquisition by Managing Partner Brad
Goedeker in late Summer 2022.
Goedeker, a Whiteland native, shared the inspiration
behind purchasing Rascal’s Fun Zone and its ties to the local
community.
“Back in 2020 and 2021, I had long conversations with
my brother, Jeff, about business ownership and making
a difference in the community,” said Goedeker. “We were
inspired by Mike Wood at Bailey & Wood and all of the good
things he does for the community, and we wanted to make
a bigger difference. We thought Rascal’s Fun Zone seemed
to be a great target as a business purchase, and things were
working out by late Summer 2022.”
Prior to stepping out of the corporate world, Goedeker
played a key role in creating a health plan for aged, blind
and disabled individuals using Indiana Medicaid. He also
currently serves on the Whiteland Town Council.
“My mindset is one of public service,” he said. “I believe that
pairs well with the community entertainment business that is
geared towards helping others make memories.”
Rascal’s Fun Zone actively commits to increasing its impact as
the business continues to thrive.

ASPIRE JOHNSON COUNTY, IN | 2023-24 BUSINESS GUIDE
The “Reading for Rascal’s” program, created in collaboration
with several local elementary schools, incentivizes students to
enhance their reading abilities with rewards at Rascal’s.
“Needham Elementary in Franklin as well as Clark Elementary
and Pleasant Crossing Elementary in Whiteland have been
working closely with us for two semesters now,” he said.
“We are eager to connect with more motivated teachers and
principals in the area who want to create a program best
suited for their students.”
Following a devastating tornado that impacted Whiteland,
Rascal’s Fun Zone again acted as an unof昀椀cial community
center and opened its doors to the affected families.
“That was rewarding to put a smile on some families faces
when they were burdened with worry and stress,” he said.
Looking to the future, Rascal’s Fun Zone has ambitious
plans to continue enhancing the facility and expanding its
offerings. The recent addition of state-of-the-art duckpin
bowling and a growing arcade with the latest games re昀氀ect
their commitment to providing top-notch entertainment.
“Rascal’s is the place for fun in Central Indiana,”
Goedeker added. “Whether it be your family,
business, school, or sports team coming
together, we want to help you make some
memories and put smiles on people’s faces.”
