An exploration of process was developed between two key developmental
strategies as follows:
•
Taking a layered approach for advocacy and implementation, toolkits are
developmental resources comprised of high-level (infographics), visual
(diagram), and analytical high impact (data) components to engage
stakeholders of new construction, existing buildings, and streetscapes
including a reach into residential districts.
•
A case study along Cooper Street in Memphis, Tennessee was created as
a device to visually illustrate, qualify, and quantify a need to embrace local
character while providing scalar impact within community context. Analytical
tools were generated to calculate critical data sets (i.e. carbon creators,
carbon avoiders, sequestration, and renewable energy generators) that are at
the heart of human experience with a more connected and resilient future.
These developmental tools worked to inform the each other as a guide and proof
of concept, trading strategic impacts to refine an incremental framework plan for
an aging commercial corridor.
