CONTRIBUTORS
archimania
As principle investigator, the concept, framework, and content has been co-authored, developed, and arranged
by archimania. As architects and designers in Memphis, Tennessee, archimania continues to expand on its
design culture to strategically craft responsive design solutions that enhance and positively impact the built
environment. This exercise was conceived from a process of discovery launched during the design phase of
archimania’s office at 663 South Cooper, as it explored the opportunities to retrofit a 1957 midcentury building
and site into the world’s first dual certified Zero Energy - Zero Carbon existing building by the International Living
Future Institute in 2021. This LEED Platinum certified project was also awarded an AIA COTE Top Ten Award in
2022. Our ongoing research as owner-operator of the facility continues to enrich our design process and high
performance research.
