Andrew moved to Devon with his wife Lucy and her boys a little over five years ago. Home is just south of Bideford where
AndrewÕs studio looks out over the River Torridge.
Andrew has been a professional artist since leaving school in the late 1970s. Painting wildlife, especially birds, has been
his main focus throughout his career. However, in recent years capturing the varied and dramatic land and seascapes has
become equally important in his picture making.
Working in both oils and watercolours Andrew has drawn inspiration from travels far and wide,
including India, Africa and the Antarctic. Regular visits to the Highlands of Scotland and the Outer
Hebrides have also provided a wealth of ideas.
Andrew has been a member of the Society of Wildlife Artists (SWLA) for 40 years and is a past
president. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of painter-printmakers (RE).
His work sells internationally and he has held many solo London shows in leading West End
galleries. Last autumn his first book, The Call of the Running Tide, displaying more than 260 of his
paintings and etchings, was published by Mascot Media.
