Garden fairy tales
Vasilisa Rutsch
On Monday, the wind was blowing west. A green dragon with
purple wings was chasing a white unicorn with a rainbow horn.
Their reflections in the garden pond were running just as fast
among swaying calla lilies. The pursuit lasted all day. It continued in
the twilight and then in the starlight, but the dragon never caught
up with the unicorn.
On Tuesday, the wind changed direction and began to blow east.
“Oh, no!” thought the dragon, turning around, “This is a different
kind of fairy tale!”
