Silent Farewell
Your chatter turned to whispers as time went on
Because your chrome faded to sepia even on the
happiest of days.
You withered away even before your body
grasped the concept
Of your mind slipping into oblivion.
Never knowing true happiness yet mimicked
it so well,
Though I could tell that you really weren’t
doing so well.
I looked up to someone who was always
laying down
In your bed of puddles full of misery
And finding comfort in the absence of color.
