Discussion: The results raise the question of a potential that teachers’ self-efficacy and
characteristics of EPP should be added in the dimensions for which the students’ views are gauged
in future studies.

Students in Islamic Education ,Asian Social Science; Vol. 19, No. 2; 2023 ISSN 1911-2017 EISSN 1911-2025 Published by Canadian Center of Science and Education

The goal of this study is to determine whether playing extracurricular educational games increases
third-grade primary children's academic achievement levels in Jordan. The study sample includes
56 male and female students (28 male and 28 female) from Madaba Governorate's Al-Khansaa
Secondary Comprehensive School for Girls. A two-group quasi-experimental design is used, with
an experimental group and a control group. An achievement test, three educational games, and
resources relating to three topics of supplication, travel etiquette, and playing etiquette, are
produced and used by the researcher. The experimental group is taught these concepts through
educational games in the schoolyard, while the control group receives traditional classroom
instruction. SPSS software is used to conduct a statistical analysis. The achievement test results for
the control and experimental groups do not indicate any statistically significant (α≤0.05)
differences. The results reveal no statistically significant (α≤0.05) gender-related variations in the
experimental group's level of success. The researchers suggest that Islamic education sessions
might be designed to avoid the characteristic inertia, using extracurricular educational games

Coronavirus disease (COVID19) is an ongoing pandemic, which forced governments across the
globe to implement confinement measures to limit the spread of the disease. These measures have
impacted the daily life and psychological status of people. However, no studies have examined the
relationship between changes in psychological status with reading habits during the COVID19
pandemic.
The study aims at examining the relationship between changes in reading habits and negative
emotional states.
The psychological status was measured using the Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scales (DASS). In
addition, the participants reported changes in four types of reading experiences during COVID19
confinement. These reading types are specialized, general knowledge, story/novels, and religious
material. An internet-based survey was used to collect the data among adults.
A total of 1711 individuals participated in the study. About 60.0%, 55.1%, 60.5% and 61.0%
reported participating in scientific, religious, general, and novel reading, respectively. Additionally,
