Abu Baker and Ahmad’s (2020) job well-being scale was adopted to examine this dimension in
university professors. Having confirmed the validity and reliability of both tools, we performed
them on a sample consisting of 400 professors. Findings show the sample group enjoys proactive
coping and job well-being, and there exists a positive relationship between proactive coping and
job well-being in university professors. However, there is no relationship between proactive coping
and job well-being as a function of gender, specialization, or academic title.

(2023). Academic Performance of Engineering Students; A Predictive Validity Study of First-Year
GPA and Final-Year CGPA. Engineering Reports.1September, 2023. DOI:10.1002/eng2.12766
Students’ academic achievement is regarded as the scholastic standing of students at the end of a
given study period that is expressed in terms of grades. This study focused on students’ first-year
GPA as a predictor of final-year CGPA and the relationship between demographic attributes of the
students to academic achievement. An ex-post factor research approach was adopted, and Pearson’s
correlation and Regression Analysis were fitted with the data using Minitab software. The results
of the study highlighted that first-year GPA had a strong positive relationship with final-year CGPA
which is an indication that first-year GPA greatly influences final-year CGPA meanwhile,
demographic characteristics have no significant correlation with students’ final-year CGPA.
Finally, the correlations drawn from this study indicated that first-year GPA had a strong positive
relationship with final-year CGPA. Therefore, the students should be properly guided, University
administrators, Faculty members, policy-makers and other stakeholders should effectively develop
a monitoring blueprint for students’ academic progress as poor performance has severe
consequences on students, teachers should inculcate effective learning culture among students,
while government and its supervisory agencies should provide adequate teaching and learning
resources, create enabling learning environment for effective service delivery that focuses on
improving students’ performance in Engineering.

among university students’ social networking sites: Validity and reliability. International Journal
of Cyber Criminology Vol 16 Issue 1 January 2022. DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.4766555
Social networking sites and other media applications have been admitted as compulsive
communication outlets. Their vulnerability and various risks involved, these social media platforms
are easy sources to commit cybercrimes. The main purpose of this study was to test the structure
of fear of cybercrime among users of social networks. The sample consisted of 612 university
students who used social networking sites. The snowball sampling technique was used to drive
sample of the study. The study utilized a descriptive approach. An electronic Google form
comprising 15 items with a focus on fear of crime was administered after taking students’ informed
consent. MPLUS and IBM SPSS were used to analyze data. The study tested three models of scale
structure including the exploratory factor analysis to generate models. These models were then
verified by confirmatory factor analysis. The three-factor model excelled exploratory and
confirmatory in terms of goodness-of-fit indicators. The study recommends applying the scale with
caution in future because of the low variance explained by using the scale, which reached 30.7%.
