CARE GUIDE
Taking good care of your belongings makes great sense. It prolongs their lifespan, so you can enjoy
your products for many years to come. Follow our care guide and keep your things beautiful and
usable for many years to come.
PORCELAIN
Porcelain is a sturdy material burned at high temperatures. The higher the temperatures, the
sturdier it gets, and our porcelain is burned at very high temperatures above 1200° C. As long as
you take certain precautions, our porcelain is dishwasher, oven and microwave safe and can also
go in the freezer. However, you should not put porcelain into a preheated oven or directly from a
warm oven onto a cool tabletop. Big temperature differences might cause it to crack and break,
which is why it should always be heated up and cooled down slowly.
LEATHER
Always remove spilled foods and fluids immediately, since they can cause stains. The placemats
should always be cleaned after use, which can easily be done with a damp cloth and some
mild washing-up liquid. Avoid contact with warm things such as pots and pans, folding the
placemats as well as prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, and never put your placemats in
the dishwasher. Now and then the place mats can be rolled “the opposite” way to make sure that
they keep their completely flat shape.
STAINLESS STEEL
Confetti cutlery and Lido champagne coupe are made from stainless steel, a very robust material
that is easy to care for. To keep your product beautiful for many years, we recommend rinsing or
washing it immediately after use, as acids from certain foods can cause damage. However, you
should never let it soak. Our stainless steel products are dishwasher safe, but we recommend
using dishwasher detergent and rinse aid from the same brand and ensuring correct dosing – they
must not contain chlorine. Do not overload the dishwasher, as the products need space to be
thoroughly washed and rinsed. Once the washing cycle is complete, open the dishwasher to allow
the moisture to escape. It is also beneficial to dry the products after washing to help preserve
their appearance.
For the cutlery, note that knives should be placed separately in the dishwasher, as the blades are
made from a type of steel that is less resistant to rust than the rest of the cutlery.
BOROSILICATE GLASS
Borosilicate glass stands out from other types of glass due to its impressive durability. It can withstand
extremely high temperatures of up to 120 °C and is remarkably resistant to thermal shock, meaning
it can easily handle both rapid heating and cooling. Borosilicate glass is significantly harder
than regular glass, making it highly durable and much more difficult to break. It is designed to
withstand stronger impacts and stresses, but of course, it is still glass, so if subjected to enough
force, it can break. Borosilicate glass also has the advantage of not changing shape or becoming
discoloured over time. Additionally, it is highly practical, as it can be washed in the dishwasher,
withstand freezing, and be used in the microwave without any issues.
