While we will proactively address new challenges, AHURI will also continue to deliver and develop our existing strengths.
AHURI is the only institution with 20 years of ongoing commitment from all Australian governments.
With the ongoing support of AHURI’s National Housing Research Program, a new commitment to a National Cities
Research Program and strengthening of Professional Services, AHURI will commit to examine priority research topics to
influence policy at all levels of government.
The success of conferences, events and engagement with AHURI research deepen the public’s understanding of the
network and Australia’s key strengths and opportunities in the housing and cities space.
Vision
Our vision is for Australian policy and decision making in housing and urban issues be informed by credible and
independent evidence to facilitate:
- the alignment of public, private and not-for-profit sector investment to optimise outcomes and value
- an integrated approach to planning productive, sustainable, and liveable urban environments
- healthy, cohesive and connected communities and places
- affordable and secure housing for all Australians.
