STRENGTH IN TEAMWORK
“I didn’t do it alone.” Is the first answer that Lizzie Garcia-Johnson gives to any
question about how her Tomball Store has been so successful. Situated in the quiet
suburb of Tomball, TX, located about 30 miles Northwest of Houston, Lizzie’s store
has become a shining star for Goodwill Houston. Since Lizzie took over the location
over a year ago, she has cultivated an atmosphere where anyone can be a leader. “I
want my team to feel like this is their store too,” she says, “and to feel that they have
a voice in running it.”
Lizzie’s success has paid off, earning the Tomball location Store of the Month
four times and earning 2023’s Store of the Year — for which she was given a
Championship Ring. For Lizzie, none of these awards are for her alone. "You can't
have a strong foundation without a strong team.”
