Cowan Family Grants
support initiatives that help students from rural and regional
areas, students with a disability, and initiatives that involve
international travel and adventure.
In 2024 the following grants were offered:
• Cowan Ability Grant – supporting students with a disability.
Jessica Arnold, Abby Jennings, Jackline Ludoru, Alexander
Reynolds, Ashley Thiele
• Cowan International Placement Grant – assisting students
in undertaking professional experience placements abroad.
Amber De Barro, Gabriel Schembri, Isabella Zunic
• Cowan Regional Grant – awarded to students based at the
Mount Gambier campus.
Angela Case, Tammy Simpson, Ariel Thompson
• Cowan Regional Placement Grant – awarded to students
at the Mount Gambier campus undertaking a professional
experience placement.
Carla Morony, Georgia Revill, Ava Smith-Muhovics, Mykaela
Thiele, Lucy Walker, Meg Wilson
• Cowan Young Endeavour Grant – an opportunity to develop
communication, leadership and teamwork skills aboard the
Young Endeavour sail training ship.
Erin Cousins
• University of South Australia Rural Reconnect Relocation
Scholarship, sponsored by Cowan Family Grants – assists
students from rural and isolated areas relocating to pursue
undergraduate study.
Elisha Carter, Millie Kuhne, Susan Rowe, Madeline Wirth
David Pank Northern Areas Education Placement Grant
assists high achieving education students to complete a required
placement in a northern area high school.
Abbey Bates, Lisa Dewhurst, Stephen Whitington
DesignInc Master of Architecture Grant
is designed to complement enrolment in Advanced Architectural
Design Studio (Construction) and includes a paid work placement
at DesignInc in the students’ final year.

Dr Terry Farquharson Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical
Science Scholarship
provides encouragement and support for pharmacy and
pharmaceutical science students from an international
background.
Thi Bao Han Huynh
DesignInc Interior Architecture Grant
is offered to interior architecture students at the start of their third
year of a bachelor degree and includes the opportunity for work
placement at the firm.
