Wellbeing Report 2024 v.02 (1) - Flipbook - Page 23
Reviewing our goals 2022-23
In the 2022-2023 Annual Report we said we would:
Continue our work on health improvement, with
additional projects on better sleep and ADHD
We did this by developing a wellbeing project that
supports people with group education on health,
and exploring neurodiversity. The project also offers
1:1 coaching to set and achieve personal goals
in these areas.
To continue to enable people in shaping their
services and access to relevant impactful services,
engaging in research and joint pieces of work to
inform improvement and new approaches.
In the last year we have been involved in several projects
both locally and nationally where we have been able to
support our experts by experience to have a voice in key
areas especially in terms of health inequalities.
+ We have produced several films with the local
primary health care trusts in terms of access to
hospitals and primary care for people with complex
needs and learning disabilities with a focus around
cancer screening.
+ We were part of the Marthas rule design of policy
with the NHS around ensuring that people who know
patients best are included in their care.
+ We are working in partnership with several key
change movements, glorious lives, changing social
care networks, Learning Disability England, health
and Wellbeing boards.
+ We have also formed an internal research group
to guide others in producing evidence-based
research. This group is currently working on projects
around improving mental health, obesity and
suicide prevention.
To continue our work on social prescription
for people with complex needs and share the
outcomes of a pilot project with an aim to expand
this further.
We have achieved this and shared the outcomes across
networks in Surrey. We have now expanded this project
to provide social prescription alongside Wellbeing
Coaching and currently are supporting 40 individuals.
To provide another 15 homes for people with
Complex Care Needs.
We have provided 8 new homes for people with
Complex Care Needs in 2023-2024. We have another
8 new homes planned to open in Autumn 2024.
Goals for 2023-2024
+ To publish and share the results of the
Wellbeing Project for learning in the sector
about support for neurodivergent people with
mental health needs
+ To further develop a suicide prevention
approach for people with complex care needs
in the organisation
+ To understand and evidence factors that lead
to obesity in people with complex care needs
and approaches that support lifestyle change
+ To develop a loneliness project specifically
designed to meet the needs of people with
