PEOPLE
PROVIDING A HEALTHY AND SAFE WORKPLACE
Information on workplace safety, health, and
security is disseminated to employees through
various internal communication channels, such
as employee meetings, bulletin board postings,
memos, and other written communications like
the Employee Handbook. Our policies on safety
are outlined in our Employee Handbook and
adhere to Occupational Safety and Health
Administration (OSHA) standards. Our CEO
is the Executive Sponsor of safety objectives
and workstreams. Our Corporate Director of
EHS along with two EHS Coordinators, one for
each manufacturing site, lead our e昀昀orts to
maintain a safe work environment.
In the event of an unsafe condition, employees
are required to promptly report it to a Manager,
Supervisor, EHS Coordinator or the HR
Department. The dedicated Incident Report
System allows all employees to report incidents
immediately; incidents are then disseminated
to senior leadership. In addition, employees are
able to submit near misses by using an online
form or by talking directly to their supervisor.
We have also established a suggestion
process where an employee can submit a
suggestion by using an online form, the Safety
Suggestion Box, or by talking directly to their
supervisor or EHS Coordinator. Employees are
encouraged to report all incidents, near misses
and safety suggestions to ultimately create
a safer workplace. Employees are able to
report near misses and safety suggestions
anonymously, if they choose.
We track a variety of measures including
recordable injuries (including lost time), 昀椀rst
aids, near misses, 昀椀res, Spills, property damage,
environmental incidents, security incidents,
and other signi昀椀cant incidents. In 2023, the
number of lost time incidents decreased from
nine in 2022 to 昀椀ve in 2023. Our calculated
injury rate for the year stood at 2.37.1 The most
prevalent types of injuries reported within
our facilities are slips, trips, falls, strains, and
sprains. Our goal as an organization is to have
zero lost time incidents by 2030.

SAFETY MOMENTS
Safety is discussed at every production
meeting. This is a time when team members
pause and discuss a recent incident or other
relevant safety topic.
1 Utilizing the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) methodology, which calculates the injury
rate as (recordable injuries * 200,000)/hours worked)
