INTRODUCTIO N
UNITED NATIONS SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
The 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs or Global Goals) were adopted by the UN in
2015 as a universal blueprint focusing on current and future prosperity for all people and our
planet. Accupac has aligned our sustainability strategy with these goals to ensure that we are
contributing to global sustainability e昀昀orts with a particular focus on the following:
SDG 5: GENDER EQUALITY
5.5: Ensure women’s full and e昀昀ective participation and equal
opportunities for leadership at all levels of decision-making in political,
economic, and public life
SDG 6: CLEAN WATER AND SANITATION
6.4: Increase water-use e昀케ciency and ensure sustainable withdrawals
and supply of freshwater
SDG 7: AFFORDABLE AND CLEAN ENERGY
7.3: Double the rate of improvement in energy e昀케ciency
SDG 8: DECENT WORK AND ECONOMIC GROWTH
8.5: Achieve full and productive employment and decent work for
all women and men, including for young people and persons with
disabilities, and equal pay for work of equal value
8.8: Protect labor rights and promote safe and secure working
environments for all workers, including migrant workers, in particular
women migrants, and those in precarious employment
