This year my focus was getting back to the old
Phoenix, and I am proud to announce the plans
are working better and quicker than we had
planned.
In October, I emailed about removing ‘dead wood’
to alleviate stress put on those of us who have
always given 110%. We have managed to cut staff
numbers
down
without
compromising
performance, wellbeing or safety, and all
departments are once again flourishing.
Our core, Brickwork, now has a full order book
for the year, and 50% of the turnover already
secured for 2024. Most pleasing are the
comments that ‘we feel more like Phoenix’
again from the lads on site.
Special thanks to Jamie Duerden, Ian Artley,
Sam MacSpadden, Dave Newbold and Kerry
Rousell for outstanding effort in actioning our
plans and bringing the Phoenix back to
Phoenix.
Our drywall division has won the FIS Award for
Commercial Drylining contractor of the year, and
have secured their largest contract to date in
Leicester, a whopping £4m contract!

and the wonderful adventures they have been
involved in.

and in the four years under Phoenix ownership has
doubled turnover following multi-million pound
investment.
