WAGGA SOUTH:
Suggested transfer of Kimo building.
Mr. Inspector Williamson:
The Department is endeavouring to provide
additional accommodation at Wagga South, the alternatives
being the conversion of Ole-weather shed and the transfer
of a disused building from Kinio. The Kimo building has
been under consideration with others for *i1=- transfer to
Burrinjuck Upper but a double portable class room is now
being provided for the latter centre and the Foreman Builder
suggests that the building at Kimo would provide suitable
accommodation for the additional needs of Wagga South. I
note, however, that the Kimo building was used for
subsidised school purposes up to the end of 1938 and before
the
any further steps are taken to transfer this buildingdfoh,
existing site, I should be glad to know whether there is any
likelihood of its re-opening or being needed for subsidised
school purposes again where it stands. Kindly advise me.
