Our networks
LGBTQ+ | NETWORK
At Hogan Lovells, we want to provide a safe
and inclusive workplace for all our people, in an
environment where each person has the freedom to
be their authentic self. Since the launch of Pride+ in
2017, we show our solidarity and ensure that within
our firm community, our LGBTQ+ colleagues are
respected, embraced, and supported, wherever in
the world they may be.
GAIN is our global ability inclusion network, which
supports individuals with disabilities, caregivers to
and allies of individuals with disabilities. Through
GAIN, we aim to elevate disability inclusion
throughout the firm. The network exists to connect
our colleagues with disabilities to each other to
support community-building internally.
Breaking Barriers’ focus is
on supporting and driving
gender equality through the
recruitment, retention
and inclusion of women lawyers and Business
Services professionals through to the most senior
levels of the firm.
The Multicultural Network (MCN) aims to increase
the firm’s awareness and understanding of issues
relating to culture, ethnicity and faith, and foster a
culture of mutual respect and inclusivity by celebrating
our differences. Specific Christian, Hindu, Jewish and
Muslim networks sit under the umbrella of the MCN in
the UK.
In Paris, H-Elles provides space for lawyers and
Business Services professionals to advance gender
equity with a mixed gender management committee
to drive the changes required to make this a reality.
Pride UK works to make a positive contribution to the
lives of LGBTQ+ colleagues generally and wider society
and works closely with our Pride+ allies network.
Level Up promotes a culture that is modern, flexible
and inclusive, representing the new generation of
lawyers and Business Services professionals.
The Working Families network addresses the
challenges faced by parents and carers in seeking
to achieve a balance between work and home
commitments.
REAHL (Race and Ethnicity at
Hogan Lovells) seeks to find
effective solutions to achieve
the firm’s strategic commitment to the retention,
advancement and inclusion of people from diverse
racial backgrounds.
Our newly formed Social Mobility
Network in the UK was launched in
July 2023, established from an active
working group. The network aims to
foster greater understanding of the
challenges those from lower
socio-economic backgrounds face in
entering and progressing in the legal
sector. To achieve these aims, activity
is focused around celebrating and
supporting our people to share stories
about their diverse social backgrounds;
advocating for our people to make
conversations around different types
of social background more
commonplace and comfortable,
to drive an inclusive culture for all
our people; supporting our people
and future joiners from lower
socio-economic backgrounds; and
educating everyone in the business to
understand what social mobility is and
why it matters – to us and to our clients.
In 2023 we launched a cooperation
with the University of Munich to
provide law students with diverse
socio-economic backgrounds a
scholarship for a one-year program at
the Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas.
