LOCAL OPTION LEVY
To Maintain The Enhanced
Sheriff’s Patrol District
On May 17, 2022, Washington County residents again voted to continue
ESPD services by supporting the local ESPD levy. This ongoing support
allows us to serve the community in the way you deserve and expect.
Thanks to your support of this levy, we can continue to:
• Provide an immediate 9-1-1 emergency response
• Investigate major crimes in a timely manner
Public safety is a crucial
part of creating safe and
livable communities.
Your continued support
of the ESPD allows the
Washington County
Sheriff’s Office to
protect our community
effectively. It is our
honor to serve you.
• Follow up on incidents impacting neighborhood safety and livability
• Have deputies trained and prepared to respond to emerging and
complex community needs
• Provide advanced training in crisis intervention and de-escalation to
compassionately respond to individuals experiencing a mental health
crisis
• Respond to the increased overdoses and abuse of Xanax, OxyContin,
fentanyl, and other drugs in the community
• Maintain current levels of policing services similar to neighboring cities
Thank you for your continued support and partnership in helping us
keep Washington County safe.
