designed to confuse voters, the PAC Florida
Country could be mistaken for a group
supportive of rural voters interests. The
contributors indicate otherwise. James
Gabbert is the developer who petitioned
Sarasota County to put an industrial waste
transfer facility next to the Celery Fields.
Purveyors of subdivisions and strip malls are
contributors, as well a dummy Delaware
corporation.
As of July 12, 2020, two mailers have been
sent out to District 1 voters supporting Moran,
at a cost of $4,793 each. Without additional
funds, there could be eight more mailers before
the August 18, 2020 primary.
For 50 years, Sarasota’s County Commission
has been under one-party GOP rule.
