Mercuria is committed to advancing business responsibly and open to working with all stakeholders who are
similarly supportive of moving the commodity trading industry forward and advancing business responsibly
in an effective way. Below are some illustrative examples of how Mercuria is taking positive action to promote
transparency in the industry and initiatives that are enablers for social and technological development for the
industry and its stakeholders. These will the benefit the participants in the supply chains in which Mercuria is part
and the communities in which it operates.
TRANSPARENCY
Mercuria supports the EITI’s standards and the principles of transparency and accountability throughout the
extractive industries. As part of this work Mercuria is disclosing payments to National Oil Companies (“NOCs”) and
State-owned enterprises (“SOEs”) that are from EITI implementing countries. Governments of EITI countries must
hold a controlling stake (more than 50%) in the respective SOE or NOC. We are disclosing in this report the relevant
information on transactions involving not only oil and gas but also metals and minerals.
Mercuria’s is committed to providing greater transparency of it payments to governments globally and future
disclosures will continue to develop and provide more detailed reporting for EITI countries and Non-EITI countries
where possible.
