Usain’s Diary Entry
16th August 2009
Dear Diary,
I did it! I can’t believe it! I broke the world record for
the fastest 100m run and I did it in just 9.69 seconds! I
am jumping for joy while writing this because I’m so
excited. I have come so far from when I was a kid back
in Jamaica. I used to be the fastest runner at my
primary school, but I never expected to be the fastest
person in history.
