HIGHEST Immune Regulating Polysaccharide Content
On Average 20%
The Acemannan polysaccharides extracted from aloe are
both antioxidant and immunomodulatory, having antibacterial and antiviral properties and decreasing inflammation.33 Acemannan improves nitric oxide, which activates
macrophages of the immune system.34 Acemannan also
helps improve the GUT microbiome, which can have far
reaching positive health effects from decreased inflammation, blood sugar regulation and cognition improvement.
L-Citrulline
L-Citrulline is a neutral alpha-amino acid formed by
enzymes in the mitochondria that also serves as a
substrate for recycling L-arginine. Being a non-protein
amino acid, L-citrulline is rarely found in food, but is
highly concentrated in watermelon.
As age-related endothelial dysfunction is associated with a
reduced bioavailability of L-arginine and reduction in nitric
oxide, improving those 2 compounds is imperative in
order to improve endothelial health. 35
Unlike L-arginine, L-citrulline is not completely extracted
from the GUT (i.e., enterocytes) or liver and its supplementation is therefore more effective at increasing L-arginine
levels and NO synthesis/levels than arginine itself. L-citrulline is reported to: 36

SOD from Soybean (Glycine Mas) and
Catalase (from Aspergillus niger
fungus)
The glycocalyx also has an operating antioxidant enzyme
system composed of Superoxide Dismutase (SOD). SODs
are universal aerobic enzymes that help control the level
of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and reactive nitrogen
species, limiting the potential toxicity of these molecules.37
Damage to the glycocalyx can cause shedding of SOD,
and without SOD, the balance of the endothelium is
shifted to a pro-oxidant, hyper-inflammatory state.38
Lab studies report alterations of the eGCX were prevented
by administration of SOD.39
Catalase is also a common enzyme found in most all living
organisms that converts H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) into
water and hydrogen, thereby protecting against oxidative
stress damage which is of ultimate importance in the
eGCX.40
