PORTABLE APPLIANCE TESTING (PAT) COURSE
In the commercial setting, the law places a responsibility on all
employers to ensure that the electrical equipment used by their staff
and the public, should be fit for purpose and safe for use. Hence, all
portable appliances have to be regularly checked and maintained by
a competent person.
The Portable Appliance Testing course or PAT testing course as is one
of our most popular courses as it does not require the learner to have
any formal previous qualifications and once completed, this person will
be able to offer this service. There are three PAT testing courses on
offer at our centres:
In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment
This course is designed for those who want to gain the 'practical' skills
as well the theoretical knowledge to become proficient in delivering
the testing and inspection of electrical portable appliances
Management Requirements for the Maintenance of Electrical
Equipment
This course has been designed for those who wish to operate in the
management aspect of delivering these services or managing the
operatives conducting the in-service inspection and testing. (3 days)
Level 3 Award in the In-Service Inspection and Testing Of Electrical
Equipment
This course has been designed for those who want to gain
the skills and knowledge of delivering the in-service inspection and testing as well as the management aspects of the
service.
