The project received an honourable mention in the international
competition for a new Water Building. The competition had
190 countries. ÅWL’s proposal won the water house procurement in 2011. It was inaugurated in February 2017.
Timber is used extensively internally and externally. The building
is clad fully in light grey pigmented SiOO:X treated Swedish fir.

Sets off the striking architecture of important public building
The Water´s house has a 25 metre 10 lane swimming pool for competitions and a play pool, recreation and training facilities. It
contains a water pool and a well-equipped spa area. The building also contains a gym, café, conference area and sun terrace.
