The Tale of Peter Rabbit, The Tailor of Gloucestor, The Tale of Jeremy
Fisher, and The Tale of Tom Kitten, come to life in this mesmerizing puppet
show, complete with Potter’s original text and live, original music. Three
charming performers interweave classic narration and puppetry with gentle
interactive moments, recruiting the audience to join the adventure and
encouraging young watchers to think about these iconic animal characters’
big emotions.

How did America get so big? Westward Expansion, that’s how! And if
you want to know what that means, you’d probably have to ask Thomas
Jefferson. Or Lewis and Clark. Or Sacajawea. Or maybe the ‘49ers. Or the
Mountain Men. Or the Pony Express riders. Or the transatlantic railroad
builders. Well, maybe we will. ‘Cause we’re StoryMakers and that’s what
we do! We’ll ask a few questions and get some answers, too!

Kyshona lends her voice to those who feel silenced, forgotten or alone. She
began her career as a music therapist. As an artist, songwriter and singer,
she shares her story while inviting audiences to join her in an exploration
of self, healing and growth. Through stories, photos, film, ancestry and
genealogy research, and travels in the power of place, this performance
is a powerful, engaging experience, telling of one family’s beginnings and
legacy through storytelling and song.

TALKING BIRDS AND GOLDEN FISH
November 18-22 · Monday through Friday at 10am and 11:30am

Recommended Grade Levels: K-5
Suggested Curricula: Language Arts, Social Studies, Theater
A new storytelling performance featuring animal tales from around the
world, including India, Persia, South America, and the Caribbean. The
frisky critters have quite a few things to share with us: kindness, silliness,
and other life lessons for young and old alike. Stories include Hummingbird
and Tree, The Raven and Pigeons, and Margarita and the Golden Fish.
Piano accompaniment and arrangements by Daniel Kelly.
