Andrew’s story

Andrew has autism, severe learning disability
and epilepsy, and a very keen interest in
food. This interest has got him into some
sticky situations in the past and resulted in
placement breakdowns and eventually being
placed out of the county for many years.
He ended up being at a residential college 3 years after he
graduated because there was nowhere for him to move to. Andrew
is a big Chelsea fan, he loves the great outdoors and is surprisingly
domesticated, often found with a mop or duster in his hand!

Andrew moved to his own flat in
Horley. Since moving he has been
exploring all the country parks, local
walks, outdoor gyms and spends
regular quality family time. Andrew has
been able to see his extended family
for the first time in years.
He has also loved going to accessible
cycling, the bowling alley and arcade,
and his first-time suit shopping!
Andrew is currently hoping to have a
seaside holiday.
