free system that will stay looking great and working well
for many years. Installation of cast iron can be quite
challenging, especially when working at elevated heights
due to the material's weight which in turn presents an
increased risk to health and safety. However, Cascade
offers a more convenient solution, as it is much lighter in
weight, making installation much easier and potentially
reduces installation costs. In contrast to other systems
that may require additional fixing kits or nuts and bolts,
the Cascade system is equipped with fittings that have
integrally moulded seals and flexible retaining clips,
enabling the gutter lengths to click into place for
maximum sealability and fixing lugs on downpipes and
fittings. To add a personal touch, the project incorporated
Ogee hoppers, which pay homage to tradition and
heritage whilst the dated hoppers with the embossed year
of the build bring a modern twist to the classic design.
Brett Martin's Cascade cast iron effect system is an
exceptional option for architects and specifiers embarking
on a significant heritage project, as evidenced by its
successful implementation at Stapehill Abbey. The
Cascade system is crafted using the same moulds as
traditional cast iron guttering, delivering a timeless and
classic aesthetic while also benefiting from cutting-edge
technology. With Brett Martin, any creative vision can
be realised without sacrificing quality, adaptability and
durability.
