Things To Do
FISHING IN THE BROKEN BOW AREA
A tailwater fishery flowing out of Broken Bow Lake, the Lower Mountain
Fork River has 14 miles of trout habitat. It offers year-round fishing for
rainbow and brown trout. The 3.8-mile Trophy section where boats and
barbed hooks are banned offers great fly fishing.
The Upper Mountain Fork River offers Neosho-strain small and largemouth
bass, Kentucky spotted bass, sunfish, and a seasonal run of walleye and
sand bass.
If you want to power-up the boat, Broken Bow Lake is known for its black
bass fishing. You can also find large and smallmouth bass as well as spotted
bass. Other popular species include walleye, crappie, channel catfish, and
various sunfish.
